Pine Valley Middle School Named 'California Distinguished School'
The school is one of 5 in the Tri-Valley and 293 in California to be recognized for academic excellence and a positive school climate.
SAN RAMON, CA — Pine Valley Middle School is one of 293 schools across the state and five in the Tri-Valley to be named as a 2024 California Distinguished School, the California Department of Education announced Thursday.
The CDE selected middle and high schools based on their performance on criteria indicated on the 2023 Dashboard, which include academic excellence, ensuring a positive school climate, and closing the academic achievement gap.

Pine Valley was the only SRVUSD school to be recognized. In the Tri-Valley, the following schools were recognized:
