8th Grade Trip: Six Flags Discovery Kingdom
Wednesday, June 1, 8:45 AM – 4:00 PM
$100- Six Flags Store Page
Transportation, entry, lunch, snack and refillable beverage bottle provided.
Students will travel to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom on a chartered bus. Students will report to first period for attendance. The buses will depart from school at 8:45 AM and return to school at approximately 4:00 PM.
Pine Valley staff members will be available throughout the day at designated locations in the park. Your child will be informed of these locations and all safety procedures prior to departure.
Promotion Breakfast and Ceremony Practice
Thursday, June 2
Breakfast: MPR 8:15am
Promotion Practice: California High School 10:00-11:15am
Breakfast will be served promptly at 8:15am. Students will move from breakfast to the California High School field for Promotion Ceremony Practice. Practice will end at 11:15am. Students will be dismissed from California High School.
Practice is mandatory for participation in the Promotion Ceremony.

Promotion Ceremony
Thursday, June 2, 6:00 PM
California High School Football Field
Students will be expected to be at California High School by 5:30 PM.
The ceremony will be held on the California High School Football Field.
Dress Code for 8th grade promotion:
§ NO strapless, backless, bare midriffs, miniskirts, or formal gowns.
§ NO tuxedos or parts of tuxedos, T-shirts, shorts, jeans, or hats.
§ Students may not carry flowers, balloons, gifts, etc. during the ceremony.
