Hello Puma families!  I am so honored to be a part of Pine Valley’s community.  I grew up in Danville until I moved to Los Angeles to attend UCLA- Go Bruins!  While attending UCLA, I earned my BA in Psychology, and my Masters in Social Welfare, with a PPS in School Social Work and Child Welfare and Attendance.  When I returned to the Bay Area, I also attended Chapman for an additional Masters and PPS in Counseling.  I have loved being Pine Valley’s Counselor for the past 14 years, and I am looking forward to supporting our 7th and 8th grade students and families again this year.  I live in Alamo with my husband Bill, our daughter Addison, and our Golden Retriever Cappy.  Please do not hesitate to let me know how I can support your family.

Hello Puma families! My name is Sharon Stewart and I am excited to join the Pine Valley school community! This is my seventeenth year as a school counselor, with experience in elementary, middle and high school ages. However, I have to say that middle schoolers have a special place in my heart and I feel at home in my position here at Pine Valley. My goal as a school counselor is to help ALL students be successful socially, emotionally, and behaviorally so they may access their education without barriers. I live in Livermore with my husband Jeff, our two children Jordan (21), Zack (19) and two French Bulldogs, Dexter and Nike. In the next few weeks we will be dropping our two kiddos to college. Jordan will be heading to UCLA and Zack is headed to Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. We will be empty nesters for the first time! I spend most spend most my free time enjoying friends and family, camping, paddle boarding, reading and practicing yoga and Pilates. Please contact me with any concerns or questions you may have.

How do I make an appointment to see my counselor?

Students can come by the office before and after school to see their counselor, or ask a teacher for a pass to see their counselor. Additionally, students can email their counselor and ask to be seen.

Parents can email their child's counselor with any questions or concerns they may have.
