Have a Safe Summer! Let's do it Again Starting August 13!

June 5, 2018

Continuing Puma Parents…

Before you go running off to enjoy your summer…  I just wanted to say thank you for a wonderful school year.  Supporting our student body is a partnership between home and school and I think we make a great team!  As a reminder, report cards are not sent home.  They will be available via the Parent Portal by the end of the week for you to view and print at home.  Remember, 6thand 7thgrade grades never kept anyone out of the college of their choice.  Keep grades in a healthy perspective and use them to set goals for next year!

Specific “Thank Yous” go to PTA President, Julie Burlingame and her brigade of volunteers for all the wonderful work they do to support our kids.  The end of the year gets particularly crazy and at every request, Julie and PTA were there.  Also, I want to thank outgoing PVEF President, Debbie Morford and her Board for all of their work behind the scenes.  They take their job of allocating your contributions very seriously so your dollars positively impact your child’s education directly.  Under Debbie’s leadership, our 2017 SRVEF “Affiliate of the Year Award” was no accident.  The parents of this community are NEVER taken for granted!  Thank you ALL!

Finally, just a couple of logistical announcements.  You will not receive any communication from me until next month but I wanted you to have a couple of important dates on your calendar.

July 11: Annual Update (Parent Portal) Opens for CH Attendance Area

August 13: First Day of School (Minimum Day)

Be safe and enjoy the family time!  As always, thanks for trusting us with your kids.

Every Puma Counts,

Jason Law

Each fall, San Ramon Valley Unified parents are asked to complete an online “Annual Update” to verify household and emergency contact information and complete the annual release acknowledgement and permission requirements.

Don’t have a portal account yet?  Contact your student’s school office after July 30 to receive your unique user key to set up an account.  It’s fast and easy.

For the 2018-2019 school year, to assist the online program in running smoothly, the parent portal will open on a different day in July for each high school and its feeder middle and elementary schools. Please note: parents do not need to fill out the annual update on the day that the portal opens. Parents will have until August 31, 2018, to fill out the information.

Parents will access the annual update through the SRVUSD Parent Portal. Once you log-in, you will see a button that says “Online Enrollment Annual Update.” The Annual Update will open on the following schedule:

Tuesday, July 10: Dougherty Valley High School, Del Amigo High School, Venture School, Windemere Ranch Middle School, Gale Ranch Middle School, Hidden Hills Elementary, Live Oak Elementary, Quail Run Elementary, Coyote Creek Elementary, Bella Vista Elementary
